The first boutique hotel we visited was Vermelho Melides, the hotel created by designer Christian Louboutin. It had only just opened when we filmed there — it was our first visit, and it was gorgeous.
Afterwards, we headed to São Lourenço do Barrocal in Monsaraz, which we had visited six years before — it was one of the first boutique hotels to be featured on JO&SO, and it was just as special the second time around.
