Tipografia do Conto is a stunningly designed boutique hotel located in the emerging neighbourhood of Cedofeita in central Porto.
The hotel is housed in a restored 19th-century factory building, originally a deactivated Typography and Graphic Arts Workshop. Some of its original elements, such as the main stone facade, central lighting and ventilation courtyard, were preserved.
Tipografia's impressive design combines modernist architecture and vintage designer furniture with remarkable engraved texts in low relief on the concrete ceilings - a tribute to the building's former life as a typography factory.
There are 10 small but perfectly designed rooms and generous communal areas, including a library, living room, restaurant, and a garden with a 15-meter saltwater pool.
